Our goal is to provide you with information about our volunteer effort to build an accessible and inclusive playground where children with and without disabilities will be able to play together. Please read our history and discover how the dream began in 2001. The playground volunteers have been working diligently for eight years and will remain dedicated until the playground is completed. Learn about how the dream of a group of young girls has now become the focus of a new park in Harrisonburg. Learn about our affiliation with The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham and the significant difference this has made in our fundraising efforts.

The “A Dream Come True” Playground project is an amazing collaborative effort with a dedicated group of volunteers; The Harrisonburg Department of Parks and Recreation; The City of Harrisonburg and The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham.
