Text Box: Welcome to the “A Dream Come True” Playground Web Site. Our goal is to provide you with information about our volunteer effort to build an accessible and inclusive playground where children of all abilities are be able to play together.
Please read our history and discover how the dream began in 2001. The playground volunteers worked diligently for nine years and remain dedicated until the playground opened to the public. Learn about how the dream of a group of young girls has now become the focus of a new park in Harrisonburg. 
Learn about our affiliation with The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham and the significant difference this has made in our fundraising efforts.
